Totem Rail Explorer in the Canadian Rockies
11 Nights / 12 DaysThis 12 day circle tour is Rocky Mountaineer®'s most adventurous vacation. It includes a night in Vancouver, a ferry trip across the Strait of Georgia to Victoria and the Butchart Gardens and a night in Victoria. From Victoria, you'll tour Vancouver Island by motor coach to Port Hardy at the northern end of Vancouver Island. After a night in Port Hardy, you'll board a BC Ferry for a journey through the Inside Passage where you'll have a chance to see the cruise ships that ply these waters on their way to Alaska. You'll have a free day in Prince Rupert on the mainland before you board ViaRail's Skeena train for a two day journey from Prince Rupert, North America's most northerly port, to Jasper. From Jasper National Park, you'll tour the Canadian Rockies, on your way to Banff, by motor coach or rental car. (The choice is yours.) After two nights in Banff you'll board the Rocky Mountaineer® for Vancouver. This two day train vacation through the Canadian Rockies crosses the Continental Divide on its way west.
