Rocky Mountaineer Calgary Trains – 2012
Vancouver and Calgary are the two largest cities served by the Rocky Mountaineer. Many people want to travel between Vancouver and Calgary, and for the best scenery and the most memorable trip, the train is the best way to travel. Rocky Mountaineer trains leave both Vancouver and Calgary fromMay to early October.
Beginning in 2012, there is one departure from Vancouver to Calgary and one departure from Calgary to Vancouver each week. The train from Vancouver to Calgary leaves Vancouver each Friday. The train from Calgary to Vancouver leaves Calgary each Sunday.
If this schedule is not convenient for you, keep in mind that the Rocky Mountaineer leaves Vancouver for Banff each Monday and Friday and leaves Banff for Vancouver each Wednesday and Sunday. Banff is 86 miles from Calgary and shuttles travel between Banff and Calgary airport and downtown Calgary several times each day.
One of the great things about traveling by Rocky Mountaineer between Vancouver and Calgary is that both cities have major international airports so it’s easy to fly into one and out from the other.
