Overview
This two day Rocky Mountaineer train vacation between Vancouver and Calgary is good if you have limited time and want a train experience but don’t want to spend time in the Canadian Rockies since if you take the train between Vancouver and Calgary, you travel through the Rockies, but you won’t spend any time in the Rockies. Calgary is not in the Canadian Rockies, but the largest city near the Rockies with an international airport.
If you choose a two day train trip, we are happy to help with hotel, transportation and activity suggestions in Vancouver and Calgary. Keep in mind that in 2012, trains travel between Vancouver and Calgary once a week. The Rocky Mountaineer leaves Vancouver for Calgary each Friday and leaves Calgary for Vancouver each Sunday.

- GoldLeaf Service – Reserved seating in the GoldLeaf elevated dome car. Breakfast and lunch are served in the GoldLeaf dining car and GoldLeaf passengers have access to the outdoor viewing platform.
