Rocky Mountaineer Whistler Train – Discontinued
Train between Vancouver and Whistler
The Whistler Train suspended operations at the end of the 2015 season. There is no longer train service to or from Whistler unless you book the three night Rainforest to Gold Rush route on the Rocky Mountaineer between Vancouver and Jasper with a stop in Whistler.
For one or two day trips consider the following alternatives:
- Tour to Whistler by bus along the spectacular Sea to Sky highway.
This tour includes pick up and drop off from your hotel, lively commentary and stops along the way.
Stops include view points, Whistler Village, Shannon Falls, B.C’s third highest waterfall, and the new Aboriginal Cultural Centre and Museum.
- Take the bus to Whistler and then return by float plane or the plane to Whistler and the bus back. The float plane flies from the downtown harbour to Green Lake on the outskirts of Whistler where a bus is waiting to take you into the village.
The plane takes off from Green Lake in Whistler and lands in Vancouver’s downtown harbour. It’s an amazing and spectacular journey.
- Take the bus to Whistler and spend the night. Then fly by float plane from Whistler to Victoria. Spend a night or more in Victoria, visit the Butchart Gardens and then take the bus and ferry back to Vancouver.
Are you planning to visit Victoria and Whistler? Then this is the perfect trip. You’ll travel along the spectacular Sea to Sky Highway to Whistler and spend the night in Whistler. (Hotels are not included; however, we can make hotels suggestions and reservations for you.) You’ll have the morning free in Whistler before your one hour flight from Whistler’s Green Lake to Victoria’s Inner Harbour. Spend a night or more in Victoria (not included) and visit the Butchart Gardens (included.) Return to your Vancouver hotel by bus and ferry
Suggested Clothing: Comfortable clothing for the day including a warm shirt or outer layer. Walking shoes recommended.
